  1. Trout Chowder

  2. 1 medium onion, chopped

  3. 1 Tbsp butter or margarine

  4. 2 cups milk

  5. 1 cup ranch salad dressing

  6. 1 pound boneless trout fillets, skin removed

  7. 1 pkg (10 ounces) frozen broccoli cuts, thawed

  8. 1 cup cubed or shredded cheddar cheese

  9. 1 cup cubed or shredded Monterey Jack cheese

  10. 1/4 tsp garlic powder Paprika, optional

  11. In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Transfer to a

  12. slow cooker; add milk, dressing, fish, broccoli, cheeses and garlic

  13. powder. Cover and cook on high until soup is bubbly and fish flakes

  14. easily with a fork. Sprinkle with paprika if desired. Yield: 6

  15. servings.
