  1. Spaghetti alla Puttanesca

  2. 2 tbsps olive oil

  3. 1 tbsp garlic, minced

  4. 1 tbsp basil, dried

  5. 1 tsp oregano, dried

  6. 2 cans tomatoes, diced

  7. 1/4 c parsley, fresh

  8. 1 1/2 tsps red pepper flakes

  9. pepper

  10. 12 black olives, chopped

  11. 2 tbsps capers, chopped

  12. 1 can anchovies, chopped

  13. 1 can clams, canned with liquid

  14. 1 lb spaghetti

  15. Heat the oil in a saucepan or in a small, deep skillet, and add

  16. the garlic. Cook briefly without browning and add the basil,

  17. oregano, tomatoes, parsley and the red pepper flakes.

  18. Add pepper to taste and bring to a boil. Cook about 30 minutes.

  19. Add the olives and capers. Chop the anchovies and add to the sauce.

  20. Add the clams. Cover and cook for about 30 more minutes. Serve

  21. over spaghetti cooked according to package directions.
