  4. Raisin Drops

  5. 1 cup *sweet milk* recipe follows

  6. 1/3 cup packed pitted dates

  7. 2 teaspoon vanilla

  8. 1 large egg or equilivent

  9. 1/3 cup applesauce or mashed banana

  10. 1 3/4 cup old fashioned rolled oats

  11. 1 cup whole wheat flour

  12. 2 tablespoons lowfat soy flour

  13. 2 teaspoons baking powder

  14. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  15. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon <I would use

  16. 1 tablespoon>

  17. pinch ground cloves

  18. pinch nutmeg

  19. 1/2 cups raisins

  20. prepare cookie sheets with oil or spray coombine in blender on low the

  21. sweet milk, dates, vanillla, egg and mashed fruit, blend til uniform

  22. Add to oatmeal in bowl, stir with a spoon. Let set for about 5 minutes to moisten oatmeal.

  23. Meahwhile, in large mixing bowl combine flours, baking powder, salt and spices.

  24. Turn on over to 350F

  25. Add oat mixture to dry ingredients, mix well

  26. Add raisins, stir.

  27. Drop by teaspoonful onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 12 - 15 minutes

  28. until lightly browned and toothpick inserted into center of middle

  29. cokkie comes out clean. Remove from pan, cool, store in airtight

  30. containier in refrigerator. Freezes well.

  31. Sweet milk

  32. 2 cups reconstituted nonfat milk <could probably use fresh nonfat or soy or rice milk>

  33. 2/3 cup raisins

  34. combine milk and raisins in a jar, cover and refrigerate at least overnight, best for 3 days.

  35. Strain milk to remove raisins which will become mushy and flat.
