  1. 1 pkg fast acting yeast

  2. 2 tablespoons sugar

  3. 2 cups water , divided

  4. 4-5 cups bread flour

  5. 2-3 tablespoons oil

  6. 1 teaspoon salt

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1-cup lukewarm water, let rest while you pour 1 cup HOT water in mixing bowl to warm bowl. To water in mixing bowl, add sugar, oil, flour, salt and yeast mixture. Stir until well mixed, adding more flour as needed so dough is not too sticky. Place in a bowl, cover with a towel and let rise until doubled ~ 1 hour. Punch down, knead lightly and place in a greased loaf pans. Let rise covered, again ~ 30 minutes. Bake at 375°F for ~45 minutes or until brown. Remove from pan, melt butter over hot loaf, and cover with a towel. Let cool a bit before slicing.
