  1. 1 1/2 pounds dry navy beans (3 c.)

  2. 1 cup ketchup

  3. 2 cups water

  4. 2 tablespoons dark molasses

  5. 1/4 pound salt pork or ground or diced bacon

  6. 1 medium onion -- chopped

  7. 1 cup brown sugar

  8. 2 teaspoons dry mustard

  9. 1 tablespoon salt

  1. Preparation : Soak beans overnight in cold water. Simmer for 30 minutes; drain and put into crockpot. Add all ingredients, mix well. Cover and cook on low 8 to 10 hours (high 4 to 6 hours, stirring occasionally).
