  7. 4 1/4 cups Pillsbury's Best All Purpose Flour -- sifted

  8. 2 teaspoons soda

  9. 2 teaspoons French's Ginger

  10. 1 teaspoon French's Nutmeg

  11. 1 teaspoon French's Cloves --see note

  12. 1 teaspoon French's Cinnamon

  13. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  14. 1/2 cup butter

  15. 1 cup sugar

  16. 1 egg

  17. 1 cup molasses

  18. 2/3 cup hot water

  19. Creamy Vanilla or Orange Frosting

  20. 350 degrees for 9 to 12 minutes. MAKES

  21. 6 dozen cookies.

  22. Sift together dry ingredients. Cream butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming

  23. well. Blend in unbeaten egg; beat well. Add the dry ingredients alternately

  24. 1 cup molasses and 2/3 cup hot water. Blend thoroughly after each 30 to 60 minutes. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto

  25. 350 degrees

  27. minutes. Cool 1 minutes. Remove from sheet. Frost with Creamy Vanilla or Orange Frosting.
