  7. 8 med cortland or empire apples -- cored and sliced

  8. 1/4 cup butter

  9. 1 cup sugar

  10. 6 lg eggs -- beaten

  11. 1 pt sour cream

  12. dash nutmeg

  13. 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

  14. Combine apples,butter, and 1/2 cup sugar in saucepan. Cook over low heat until

  15. apples are soft. In a double boiler or heavy saucepan, cook sour cream, eggs,

  16. and other 1/2 cup of sugar. Stir constantly until thickened. Remove from hea t and stir in vanilla and nutmeg. Carefully stir in apples. Butter and 8-inch

  17. pan. Reserve 1/3 cup graham cracker crumbs. Sprinkle remaining crumbs in bot

  18. tom of pan. Press down. Spoon the apple mixture onto the crumbs. Sprinkle re

  19. maining crumbs in bottom of pan. Press down. Spoon the apple mixture onto the

  20. crumbs, and spinkle the top with reserved crumbs. Bake at 375 degrees for one
