  1. 3 c self-rising flour

  2. 1/2 c sugar

  3. 1/2 c butter

  4. 4 oz cream cheese

  5. 1 t vanilla

  6. 1/2 c buttermilk

  1. Mix flour and sugar. Cut in butter and cream cheese until course and crumbly. Add vanilla and buttermilk. Stir until well blended.

  2. Turn out on a floured board and knead until easy to handle. Pat into a 1 in thick circle. Cut with a 1 in biscuit cutter. Place on greased cookie sheet, close together.

  3. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 10-15 minutes or until lightly brown on the edges.

  4. Cool and ice.
