  1. Kartoffelsalat Mit Biermarinade (Potato Salad with Beer Dressing)

  3. 6 potatoes

  4. 4 rashers bacon

  5. 1 T onion, chopped

  6. 1 stalk celery, chopped

  7. 1 t salt

  8. 2 T butter

  9. 2 T flour

  10. 1/2 t dry mustard

  11. 1 T sugar

  12. 1 c beer

  13. 1/2 t Tabasco sauce

  14. 2 T fresh parsley, chopped

  15. Boil potatoes in medium-size saucepan until just tender. Peel and slice. Fry bacon until crisp. Break into small pieces and mix

  16. with onion, celery and salt, set aside. Stir melted butter and flour in a small saucepan until blended. Add mustard and sugar.

  17. Slowly stir in beer and Tabasco sauce. Bring to boil, stirring

  18. constantly. Pour over potatoes. Sprinkle with parsley. Toss

  19. lightly and let stand 1 hour. Add bacon mixture, toss gently and serve.
