  6. 2 TB red wine vinegar

  7. 1 TB soy sauce

  8. : freshly ground pepper

  9. 1/2 c extra virgin olive oil

  10. 8 c mesclun

  11. 3/4 lb

  12. 8 dried dates

  13. : Medjool) -- pitted

  14. : cut lengthwise into thin

  16. 6 oz soft goat cheese, cut into : pieces -- room temp

  17. In a small bowl, whisk together vinegar, soy sauce,

  18. pepper and salt to taste and add oil in a stream,

  19. whisking until emulsified. May be made 1 day ahead and chilled, covered. Bring to room temp. before serving.

  20. In bowl, toss mesclun with vinaigretteand divide among

  21. 8 salad plates. Top salads with dates and gost cheese.
