  1. 2 lbs 908g / 32oz Short ribs - cut in

  2. 2" pieces Salt - to taste

  3. 1/4 cup 15g / 1/2oz Minced onions

  4. 1/4 cup 59ml Ketchup

  5. 1/4 cup 59ml Water

  6. 2 tablespoons 30ml Fresh lemon juice

  7. 2 tablespoons 30ml Brown sugar

  8. 1 tablespoon 15ml Mustard

  9. 1/8 teaspoon 0.6ml Salt

  10. 1 tablespoon 15ml Worcestershire sauce

  1. Recipe Instructions Trim the top layer of fat from the short ribs. Place several pieces of this fat in a Dutch oven, and cook over medium heat until bottom is lightly coated with fat, and remove the pot from the heat. Sprinkle the short ribs with salt, brown them on all sides, and then removing them when they are done. Add the onion and slightly saute until lightly browned. Return the short ribs to the pot and add the ketchup, water, lemon juice, sugar, mustard, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Cover the pot and cook over low heat for 2 hours, or until tender, stirring occasionally. This recipe yields 4 servings.
