  2. 3 tablespoons margarine

  3. 2 1/2 cups onions, sliced

  4. 1 pound mushrooms, sliced

  5. 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar

  6. 4 vegetable bouillon cubes

  7. 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded

  8. 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese

  1. Saute onions and mushrooms till soft.

  2. Add broth and vinegar.

  3. Bring to a boil.

  4. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

  5. Heat oven to 400 degrees F and heat bread for 10 minutes. Remove.

  6. Heat broiler.

  7. Puree 1/2 the soup mixture.

  8. Add back to pot and heat.

  9. Divide into 4 broiler proof crocks.

  10. Top with cheese.

  11. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes.
