  1. 10 ounces vanilla wafer crumbs

  2. 3/4 cup butter

  3. 2 cups powdered sugar

  4. 2 eggs

  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

  6. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

  7. 1 quart fresh raspberries

  8. 1/2 pint whipping cream -- sweetened & whipped

  1. Preparation : Butter 9" pan. Put half of the vanilla wafer crumbs in pan. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla. Put butter mixture on crumbs, then walnuts, then berries, then the whipped cream, then top with remaining crumbs. Refrigerate. Serve chilled. Note: This is a very rich dessert. Best when fresh raspberries are used, not frozen. Can substitute strawberries or blueberries for a different taste.
