  7. 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar -- Firmly Packed

  8. 1/2 Cup Sugar

  9. 1/2 Cup Butter -- Softened

  10. 1/2 Cup Shortening -- Butter Flavored

  11. 1 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract

  12. 1 Ea Egg

  13. 1 3/4 Cups Pillsbury Best Flour

  14. 1 Tsp Baking Soda

  15. 1/4 Tsp Salt

  16. 4 Oz Semisweet Chocolate -- Chopped

  17. 4 Oz White Chocolate -- Chopped

  18. 1 Cup Walnuts Or Pecans -- Can Be Omitted

  19. 1. Heat oven to 375*F. In large bowl, combine sugars, butter and shortening;

  20. beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg; blend well.

  21. 2. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolates and nuts.

  22. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.

  23. 3. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove

  24. from cookie sheets.
