  1. 1 1/2 cups sliced carrots

  2. 1 cup chopped onion

  3. 1 cup sliced celery

  4. 4 potatoes , cut in chunks

  5. 3 lbs boneless chuck roast

  6. 1 envelope onion soup mix

  7. 1 (10 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup

  8. 2 cups water

  9. 1 tablespoon horseradish

  1. Place vegetables in pot in order given.

  2. Place roast on vegetables.

  3. Mix remaining ingredients together.

  4. Pour over roast.

  5. Cook on hi for 5 hours or low for 8 hours.

  6. Thicken with a little flour and water if desired.
