  1. Alabama chocolate-Pecan Jumbo Christmas Fudge Pie

  3. This is a scrumptious, gooey pie. If you want your pie a little more set, bake it 28 minutes.

  4. 1-1/4 cups chocolate wafer crumbs

  5. 1/3 cup butter or margarine , melted

  6. 1/2 cup butter or margarine , softened

  7. 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar

  8. 3 large eggs

  9. 1 (12 ounce) package semisweet

  10. chocolate morsels, melted

  11. 1/2 cup all purpose flour

  12. 2 teaspoons instant coffee granules

  13. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  14. 1 cup chopped pecans

  15. Garnishes: vanilla ice cream , fudge topping

  1. Combine chocolate crumbs and 1/3 cup melted butter, mixing well. Press into bottom and up sides of an ungreased 9" pieplate.

  2. Bake at 350° for 6 to 8 minutes.

  3. Beat 1/2 cup butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy; gradually add brown sugar, beating well. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in melted chocolate and next 4 ingredients. Pour filling into prepared crust. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes; cool completely on a wire rack. Garnish, if desired.

  4. Yield: 1 (9") pie.
