  8. 1 pound Butter -- (no substitutes)

  10. 2 cups Granulated sugar

  11. 4 Eggs

  12. 4 Squares bitter chocolate -- melted and cooled to

  13. 1 teaspoon Vanilla

  14. Cream butter (20 mins). Add sugar, cream 20 mins more. Add eggs,

  15. one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition. Add melted

  16. 5 minutes. Add vanilla, beat

  17. 5 mins. pour into baked pie shell. chill overnite for filling to firm and flavours

  18. to mellow. top, if desired, with unsweetened whipped cream and 1/2 recipe -->
