  1. GROUND BEEF BARBECUE

  2. 3 lb ground beef, lean

  3. 1 lg onion, chopped

  4. 2 cl garlic, minced

  5. 5 celery ribs, finely chopped

  6. 1 1/2 ts salt

  7. 1/2 ts pepper

  8. 1 tb cider vinegar

  9. 2 tb prepared mustard

  10. 1/4 c brown sugar

  11. 1 t mustard seed

  12. 3 1/2 c catsup

  13. Brown meat in slow cooker or skillet on top of range on medium

  14. heat. Remove excess grease. Transfer cooking pot to heating base

  15. or transfer meat to slow cooker. Add all remaining ingredients

  16. stirring well to blend. Cover and cook at setting

  17. 3 (for West Bend

  18. 6 - 8 hours. Serve on buns or over hot dogs for chili dogs.
