  5. 1 c Margarine

  6. 1 c Dr. pepper

  7. 4 tb Cocoa

  8. 1 1/2 ts Cinnamon

  9. 1/2 ts Salt

  10. 2 c Sugar

  11. 2 Eggs; beaten

  12. 1/2 c Buttermilk

  13. 2 ts Vanilla

  14. 1 ts Soda

  15. 2 c All-purpose flour

  16. --frosting-

  17. 1/2 c Margarine

  18. 1/4 c Dr. pepper

  19. 3 tb Cocoa

  20. 3 c Powdered sugar (about)

  21. 1/2 c Nuts

  22. 1 ts Vanilla

  23. Heat together the margarine and Dr. Pepper until margarine

  24. is just melted. DO NOT BOIL! Sift together flour, sugar,

  25. cinnamon, salt and cocoa into mixing bowl. Combine eggs,

  26. buttermilk, soda and vanilla. Add the Dr.Pepper mixture to

  27. the dry ingredients and blend well. Add the egg mixture.

  28. Mix well. Pour into a sheet cake pan and bake at 350

  29. degrees for about 25 minutes or until cake tests done.

  30. About 5 minutes before the cake is done, start the frosting

  31. by heating together the margarine, cocoa and Dr. Pepper.

  32. Then stir in the nuts, vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend

  33. smooth. Spread evenly on the cake as soon as it is removed

  34. from the oven and is hot. This recipe makes very good
