  1. Put a little olive oil in the bottom of large sauce pan or stew pot. Heat the olive oil over low-medium heat and add about 2 tablespoons of chopped garlic. I use the jarred kind. Add about 1 pound of ground beef and brown thoroughly. Drain off fat. Add 2 jars of spaghetti sauce. I use Bertolli most of the time. Then add one can of flavored tomato paste. Add fresh mushrooms or green pepper and onion, any fresh vegetables you wish to add. Add Italian seasoning blend, at least 3 tablespoons or whatever amount you think you would like. Add 2 beef boullion cubes and a pinch of 2 of sugar. I sometimes add about 1/4 cup of red wine. Simmer sauce over lowish heat for at least 1/2 hour.
