  1. 2 1/2 lbs 1135g / 40oz Lean beef stew meat - cut in

  2. 1" cubes

  3. 1 lb 454g / 16oz Onion - chopped (large)

  4. 2 Garlic cloves - minced

  5. 3 Carrots - cut in

  6. 1" slices

  7. 2 Celery ribs - cut in

  8. 1/2" slices

  9. 2 Potatoes - cut in

  10. 1" cubes (medium)

  11. 16 oz 454g Beer

  12. 2 teaspoons 10ml Salt

  13. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Freshly-ground black pepper

  14. 1 teaspoon 5ml Oregano

  15. 2 tablespoons 30ml Tomato paste

  16. 3 tablespoons 45ml Melted butter

  17. 1/3 cup 20g / 0.7oz Flour

  1. Recipe Instructions Place all ingredients, except butter and flour in the crock pot; mix well. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. Mix melted butter with flour; add to the stew. Taste and adjust seasonings. Turn to HIGH and cook until thickened, about 15 to 20 minutes. This recipe yields 6 servings.
