  1. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

  2. Yield: About 4 dozen cookies

  3. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  4. 2 teaspoons baking soda

  5. 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened

  6. 1 cup granulated sugar

  7. 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

  8. 3 large eggs

  9. 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

  10. 10 ounces (about 1 1/4 cups) peanut butter

  11. 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

  12. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Have ungreased baking sheet(s) ready.

  13. Sift together flour and baking soda.

  14. Beat butter and both sugars in large bowl of electric mixer on high

  15. speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add eggs and vanilla;

  16. mix well. Stop the mixer and add peanut butter. Mix on low speed

  17. just until combined. Fold in the flour mixture and chocolate chips.

  18. Using a scant tablespoon for each, drop cookies onto baking sheet,

  19. 2 inches apart. Bake until lightly browned,

  20. 12 to

  21. minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
