  2. RASPBERRY-FIG BREAKFAST BAR RECIPE (AND FIG PUREE')

  7. 1 1/2 c California dried figs

  8. -- (coarsely chopped)

  9. 1 c Water

  10. 2 tb Honey

  11. --BREAKFAST BAR RECIPE--

  12. 4 1/2 c Flour

  13. 3 ts Baking powder

  14. 3 c Brown sugar

  15. 4 1/2 c Oats

  16. 1/2 c Butter or margarine

  17. -- softened 1 1/2 c Fig puree'

  18. 8 oz Raspberry jam

  19. FIG PUREE: Combine figs, water and honey in a saucepan; bring to a boil.

  20. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until softened. Using knife

  21. blade in food processor bowl; add fig mixture. Process 10 seconds or until smooth.

  22. Preheat oven to 250 F. Mix all ingredients except jam. Form into "crumbs". Press half of mixture into pan sprayed with PAM. Spread jam on

  23. crumb crust. Form top layer with remaining mixture. Bake 50-60 minutes.
