  1. 1 Onion - grated

  2. 1 1/2 cups 93g / 3 1/3oz Wheat flour - sieved

  3. 1/2 cup 118ml -- ¥

  4. 1 Flour

  5. 1/2 cup 8g / 1/3oz Cilantro

  6. 2 teaspoons 10ml -- ¥

  7. 1 Dal - (soaked for 2 hrs)

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Ginger-garlic paste

  9. 1 teaspoon 5ml Chile powder

  10. 1 teaspoon 5ml Garam masala

  11. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Turmeric powder Oil - for frying Salt - to taste

  1. Recipe Instructions Preparation time: 30 minutes Cooking time: 30 minutes 1. Mix both flours, all powdered spices, ginger-garlic paste, onion, cilantro and salt.

  2. Knead into a stiff dough, adding water as needed and a little oil.

  3. Make 12 equal-sized balls.

  4. Lightly oil the palms and pat each ball into a 10 cms disc, spreading a little gram dal on each side while patting.

  5. Heat oil and fry each disc until golden.

  6. When all discs are ready, serve hot with tomato sauce.
