  3. 1 1/4c Water

  4. 1 ts Vanilla

  5. 1/2c Sugar

  1. + In a heavy saucepan, combine cocoa, cinnamon and water; stir or whisk until there are no dry lumps of cocoa.

  2. Stir and cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat; boil gently, stirring often, for 5 minuutes or until mixture is thick and smooth.

  4. Cool slightly.

  5. Stir in vanilla and sweetener.

  6. Pour into a container or jar with lid.

  7. Cover and store in refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

  8. Makes 1 cup syrup.
