  1. 1 cup flaked coconut

  2. 1 cup sugar

  3. 1/2 cup butter, melted

  4. 1 egg, beaten

  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  6. 11 to 12 slices white bread

  1. In a bowl, combine the coconut, sugar, butter, egg and vanilla; mix well. Spread over each slice of bread; place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Yield: 11-12 servings.
