  1. 2 cups 474ml Rutabagas or turnips (large)

  2. 6 cups 660g / 23oz Carrots (large)

  3. 1/2 cup 99g / 3 1/2oz Butter

  4. 1/2 cup 80g / 2.8oz Light brown sugar

  5. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  1. Peel and chop the rutabagas and carrots. Place in a medium-size saucepan, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Gently cook until tender. Drain the rutabagas and carrots, add the butter and brown sugar. Mash with a potato masher. Adjust the taste with salt and sugar.

  2. This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
