  1. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Quick-cooking oats - uncooked

  2. 1 cup 93g / 3 1/3oz Coconut

  3. 1 cup 62g / 2 1/5oz Self-rising flour

  4. 1 cup 198g / 7oz Sugar

  5. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Butter - melted

  6. 1/4 cup 59ml Very hot water

  7. 1 tablespoon 15ml Dark corn syrup

  8. 1 teaspoon 5ml Baking soda

  1. Recipe Instructions In a large bowl combine oats, coconut, flour, and sugar. In a small saucepan combine butter, water, corn syrup, and baking soda; bring to a boil. Remove from heat and mix with dry ingredients. Mixture will be crumbly. Form mixture into 1-inch balls, adding more water if necessary. Place onto a greased baking sheet. Place baking sheet in center of cooking grate and cook 10 to 12 minutes. Cool slightly on the sheet and remove.
