Friendship Banana Bread

Title: FRIENDSHIP BANANA BREAD

1/2 c Shortening

1 c Sugar

1 Egg

1 c Bananas; mashed

1 c Starter

2 c Flour

1 ts Salt

1 ts Baking powder

1/2 ts Baking soda

3/4 c Walnuts; chopped

1 ts Vanilla; or 1 ts Grated orange rind

Cream together the shortening and sugar, add egg, and mix until blended.

stir in bananas and starter. Add orange rind or vanilla. sift flour, salt

baking powder and soda, Add flour mixture and walnuts to the first mixture,

9 x 5 pan bake

350 for hour or until toothpick comes ut clean. Cool before slicing
