  1. 1 9-inch pie shell

  2. 4 Granny Smith, McIntosh, or Gala apple s, peeled

  3. 1 cup sugar

  4. 1/3 cup flour Cinnamon

  1. Cut apples and slice thinly. Cover with sugar - at least 1 cup - and add cinnamon to taste. Add ⅓ cup of flour and a pinch of salt. Mix together. Let sit for awhile - if too watery, add more flour. Put apples into the pie shell and cover with pie crust. Pinch sides together and make vents in the top. Cook 15 minutes at 400°, then turn down to 350° for 45 minutes. Cool and serve.
