  1. Sauerbraten

  2. 3 to 4 lb. roast

  3. 3 to 4 bay leaves

  4. 3/4 c vinegar

  5. 3/4 c brown sugar

  6. 14 oz catsup

  7. 1 lg onion, chopped

  8. 1 tbsp pickling spice

  9. 30 ginger snaps Put all ingredients in pot. Put enough water to cover meat. Cook

  10. 6 to 8 hours. Remove meat; slice. Put gravy through food mill.

  11. Put meat back into gravy.
