  1. Tasty Tofu Patties

  2. 300 gms firm tofu

  3. 1 small onion, finely chopped

  4. 2 tblspns savoury yeast flakes (health food stores)

  5. 1 tblspn soy sauce

  6. 3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

  7. 1/4 tspn garlic salt

  8. 2/3 cup quick oats

  9. oil for frying

  10. Mash tofu well with a fork or process lightly in a food processor.

  11. Add remaining ingredients except oil and mix well. Shape into patties (an icecream scoop makes it easy). Heat oil in a frypan

  12. on medium heat and gently fry each side for 6-7 minutes until

  13. browned.

  14. If your tofu is very dry you may need to add some water/milk to

  15. the mix to help it hold together.

  16. Can serve with a satay type sauce to dip them in or with salad etc.
