  1. 3 lbs 1362g / 48oz Potatoes

  2. 1 1/2 cups 355ml Buttermilk

  3. 1/4 cup 49g / 1.7oz Butter

  4. 1 teaspoon 5ml Salt

  5. 1/2 teaspoon 2 1/2ml Black pepper

  1. Peel 3 lbs. Potatoes and cut into cubes 1/2" square. Place in a 4 quart sauce pan with enough water to cover and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  2. Drain water from potatoes and and place them in a large bowl. Add buttermilk, salt, pepper and butter. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy. Place in serving dish and dot with butter.
