    1. 1 1/2c Brown sugar

    2. 2 tb Water

    3. 1 1/4c Mince-meat

    4. 1/4c Molasses

    5. 1/2ts Salt

    6. 2 c Rolled oats

    7. 2 tb Sweetened condensed milk

    8. 3 c Flour

    9. 2 Eggs, well beaten

    10. 1 c Shortening

    11. 4 ts Baking powder

    1. + Directions : Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, molasses, milk, water, and mince-meat. Sift flour, measure, and sift with salt and baking powder. Add rolled oats. Combine with first mixture. Mix thoroughly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well-oiled baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (410 F) 15-20 minutes.
