  1. 1 pound ground turkey

  2. 1 cup chopped onion

  3. 1/2 cup chopped celery

  4. 2 teaspoons minced garlic

  5. 1 tablespoon chili powder

  6. 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

  7. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  8. 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  9. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt

  11. 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

  12. 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

  13. 2 bay leaves

  14. 2 cups water

  15. 1 (15 1/2-ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained

  16. 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce

  17. 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  18. 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked according to package directions

  19. 1/2 cup shredded nonfat Cheddar cheese for garnish

  20. 1/2 cup chopped onion

  1. In a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground turkey, onion, celery, and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain and return mixture to skillet.

  2. Stir in chili powder, sugar, cinnamon, pepper, cumin, salt, allspice, cloves, bay leaves, water, kidney beans, tomato sauce and lemon juice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until thickened; remove and discard bay leaves. Serve over spaghetti, garnished with cheese and onions.
