  1. 3/4 c Sweet butter

  2. 6 oz Semi-sweet chocolate

  3. 6 Eggs; separated

  4. 1 c Sugar

  5. 1 ts Vanilla

  6. 3/4 c Sifted all-purpose flour

  7. 1 ts Salt

  8. 16 oz Cannd pitted sour cherries --

  1. -- drain Preheat oven to 350. Melt the butter and chocolate together. Beat the egg yolks and sugar until light; add the butter chocolate mixture, and continue mixing, add the vanilla. Stir in the flour and salt. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour the mixture into a buttered 10" springform pan, and sprinkle the drained cherries on top. Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.JM --
