  2. 7 Ounces beef -- shredded

  3. 1 Cup Green Pepper -- shredded

  4. 1 Cup onion

  5. 2 Teaspoons sesame oil

  6. 1 Tablespoon saki

  7. 1 Teaspoon cornstarch

  8. 1/4 Teaspoon baking soda

  9. 1 Tablespoon soy sauce

  10. 1/4 Teaspoon sugar

  11. 1/2 Teaspoon chili paste -- optional

  1. Sprinkle beef with sesame oil, saki, cornstarch, baking soda, soy sauce, and sugar. Marinade 30 minutes.

  2. Heat 3 Tablespoons oil in pan and add 3/4 teaspoon salt. Stir in onion and stir fry for 2 minutes. Remove from pan. If you are using a wok, push onions up on the sides.

  3. Add pepper and stir fry 2 minutes and remove from pan or push up again on the sides.

  4. Heat 3 Tablespoons oil in same pan and add beef. Stir fry until the color changes. Add vegetables and mix well for 1 minute.

  5. Add chili paste. The longer you cook and stir with the chili paste, the hotter it becomes.
