  1. 1 package pie crust mix

  2. 2 medium potatoes

  3. 4 carrots

  4. 1 medium onion

  5. 1 can stewed tomatoes --

  6. 16 oz 3/4 cup ketchup

  7. 1/2 cup oats -- rolled (raw), not -- instant

  8. 1/2 teaspoon salt

  9. 1/2 teaspoon basil leaves

  10. 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice

  11. 1/8 teaspoon pepper

  12. 2 eggs water

  13. 1 pound ground beef

  1. Preparation : Prepare pastry and line pie plate.Peel veg and place in food processor.Add 1 cup stewed tomatoes,1/4 cup catsup,oats,and spices. Process till finely chopped. Add 1 lb ground beef and 1 egg to veg mixture. Separate 2nd egg;add the white to the veg mixture, saving yolk. Process meat-veg mixture till combined. Turn into pie shell. Top with second crust. Add 1 tsp water to yolk, brush over pastry. Cut slits in crust. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. Combine remaining stewed tomatoes and catsup in saucepan and heat till boiling. Top pie slices with sauce.
