  2. 1 pint Blueberries

  3. 1 pint Strawberries

  4. 1/4 cup Sugar

  5. 3 Tablespoon Minced Sweet Onion

  6. 1 Tablespoon Blueberry Or Raspberry Vinegar Or Lemon Juice

  7. 1 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper

  8. Hot Pepper Sauce -- To Taste

  9. 1/4 cup Sliced Or Slivered Almonds Toasted

  1. Rinse the blueberries and strawberries, then dry on paper towels.

  2. Pick over the berries. Hull the strawberries and cut into quarters.

  3. In a bowl combine the blueberries, strawberries, sugar, onion,vinegar, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Mix well and refrigerate forat least one hour. Just before serving, stir in the almonds. Serveover fruit sorbet or as a condiment with poultry or pork.
