  1. 4 oz. butter

  2. 9 oz. ginger biscuits, crushed

  3. 1 can sweeted condensed milk

  4. 6 oz. butter

  5. 6 oz. fruit sugar

  6. 3 bananas

  7. 1 2 pint whipping cream grated chocolate or instant coffee powder Melt the butter, mix in the ginger biscuit crumbs. Press into a

  8. loose bottomed pie plate. Use a fluted pan if possible. Chill.

  9. Melt the butter, add the sugar and milk and heat for about 5 minutes,

  10. stirring constantly, till it changes to a light golden caramel

  11. colour. Cool slightly.

  12. Pour toffee into pie shell. Chill. Slice 2 bananas over the

  13. toffee. Spread whipped cream over the mixture. Decorate with more

  14. banana slices. Sprinkle with grated chocolate or dust lightly with

  15. instant coffee powder.
