  5. 1 1/4 c Sifted flour

  6. 1 c Maple syrup

  7. 1/2 ts Baking powder

  8. 1/2 ts Salt

  9. 6 Eggs; seperated

  10. 1 tb Cream of tartar

  11. 1 ts Vanilla

  12. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Beat egg whites until foamy

  13. in large mixing bowl. Add cream of tartar and 1/4 cup of maple syrup. Beat

  14. until whites form stiff peaks. Combine egg yolks, 3/4 cup maple syrup,

  15. vanilla and sifted dry ingredients in a small bowl. Beat at medium speed 4

  16. minutes. Fold egg mixture gently into beaten egg whites. Pour into greased

  17. 10 inch tube pan and bake at

  18. 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes. Invert to cool. --
