  1. Chuck roast 2 Pound (2 1/2 - 3 pound)

  2. Beef broth 3 Cup (48 tbs) , warmed

  3. Onion 2 Cup (32 tbs) , diced

  4. Worcestershire sauce 2 Teaspoon

  5. All-purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  6. Extra virgin olive oil/Olive oil 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  7. Thyme 1 Teaspoon

  8. Black pepper 1 Teaspoon , grounded

  9. Bacon grease 1 Cup (16 tbs)

  10. For seasoning

  11. Steak seasoning 1 Teaspoon (montreal steak seasoning)

  12. Kosher salt 1 Teaspoon

  13. Black pepper 2 Teaspoon , grounded

  14. For vegetable

  15. Carrot 6 , diced

  16. Potato 3 , diced

  17. Onion 1 , diced

  18. Mushroom 8 Ounce , washed and thickly sliced

  1. Directions GETTING READY 1. Preheat the oven at 275 degrees F.

  2. In a large dish place the chuck roast and season with salt, black pepper and steak seasoning. Set aside.

  3. MAKING 3. In a large skillet pour in the bacon grease and heat on high.

  4. Place the chuck roast, brown from all the side.

  5. Take out the chuck roast from the skillet and set aside in a large dish. Into the same pan pour in the olive oil and reduce the heat to low.

  6. Add in the flour and fry until brown. Add in the onion and thyme, cook for 4 minutes.

  7. Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and black pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to taste. Cook for few minutes until thick.

  8. Pour the sauce over the chuck, cover the dish with foil. Place in the oven for 120 minutes.

  9. After 120 minutes take out the pan and remove the foil. Add in the onion and carrot. Place in oven for 60 minutes.

  10. . Take out the roast and add in the potatoes and mushroom. Place back in oven for another 60 minutes.

  11. SERVING 11. Serve Savory Pot Roast with bread or rice.
