  1. 30 Graham crackers

  2. 2 cups Almonds; sliced

  3. 1 cup Butter

  4. 1 cup Sugar; brown, packed

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Line 15" X 10" rimmed baking sheet with graham wafers in a single layer. (There should be no gaps on the baking sheet) Sprinkle 1 cup almonds over graham crackers. Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring about 3 minutes. (Do not cook longer or syrup will become harder). Pour over wafers, spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining almonds on top. Bake in preheated oven 375F for about 8 minutes or till bubbly all over. Place baking sheet on wire rack. Cool 5 minutes. Cut into bars. Transfer to a wire rack, cool completely. Makes: 4 DOZEN from The Toronto Star Source: free calendar
