  1. Rice 1/2 cup

  2. Toor dal 1/2 cup

  3. Mixed vegetables 1 cup

  4. Salt to taste

  5. Jaggary 1 tbsp

  6. Tamarind small lemon size ball

  7. Turmaric powder a pinch.

  8. For masala powder:

  9. Grated fresh coconut 1/4 cup

  10. Channa dal 1 tbsp

  11. Urad dal 1/2 tbsp

  12. Coriender seeds 1/2 tbsp

  13. Khus Khus 1/2 tsp

  14. Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp

  15. 1 small cinnamon

  16. 1 cardamom /

  17. 1/2 cardamom

  18. 1 clove

  19. 5-6 dry red chillies ( for ur taste)

  1. Cook cut vegetable . Dal & rice separately & keep aside.

  2. Dry roast all ingredients given under masala powder. And make a nice paste using water.

  3. Soak small lemon size tamarind in water.

  4. Take a vessel & put 1 tbsp ghee & when it is hot add mustered seeds,when it splutter add curry leaves and cashews & 2 broken dry red chillies.

  5. Then add cooked dal & vegetables & masala paste,boil for 2 mins & add salt, jaggary & tamarind & let it boil for another 2-3 mins,then add cooked rice and mix thoroughly And cook for another 5 mins under medium flame,you should be mixing it here and their otherwise the bottom will start to burn. Lastly you can add coriender leaves.

  6. Serve hot with potato chips,mixture,or cucumber raitha or any other raitha of your choice.

  7. Notes:

  8. If the mixture is too thick you can add little more water when it is cooking.or add hot water if you want to add later,do not add too much other wise the taste will change.
