  1. 2 cup rice (soak in water for 2 hours)

  2. 1tbsp oil

  3. 1 onion (chopped)

  4. 2 bay leaves

  5. 1 cinnamon

  6. 1tsp cumin seeds

  7. 3 cloves

  8. 1 cardamom

  9. 1 tomato (chopped)

  10. 1tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)

  11. 2 green chilies (chopped)

  12. 4 cups water

  13. 1tsp salt

  1. Heating up oil in a pan

  2. Add chopped onion, bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds and cardamom

  3. Fry the onion till it turns golden brown

  4. Now add the coriander chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves and green chilies

  5. Cook for 2 minutes

  6. Now pour 4 cups of water (for 2 cups of rice)

  7. Put salt and leave it to boil

  8. When the water starts boiling add the soaked rice

  9. Leave it to cook for 10-15 minutes

  10. The rice is half cooked now

  11. Now lower the flame

  12. Put the tawa on the flame

  13. Now put the pan of the rice on the tawa and cover it

  14. Cook for few minutes

  15. Bagara rice is ready now

  16. Serve it with any gravy u like
