  1. 5 Cups Self rising flour

  2. 2 Cups buttermilk

  3. 2 Tablespoons sugar

  4. 1 package yeast (dissolved in 1/4 Cup warm water)

  5. 1/2 Cup Warm water

  6. 1 Cup crisco (I use butter flavor crisco but any will do)

  7. 1 teaspoon baking soda

  1. Sift dry ingredients into flour. Cut Crisco into dry mixture. Add buttermilk and warm water, mix well. Add yeast, mix well. Refrigerate over night in airtight container. Pinch off amount needed for meal, roll and cut out biscuits using flour sparingly to keep dough from sticking. Bake at 450 degrees on greased cookie sheet until golden brown.
