  8. 1/2 c. packed brown sugar

  9. 1/4 teas. salt

  10. 1/3 c. butter, cold In a small bowl, combine oats, sugar and salt. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in the butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. --

  11. 1 oz. bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped --

  12. 1/3 c. caramel ice cream topping
