  1. 4 lb Beef bottom roast or Boneless chuck roast

  2. 1 tb Oil

  3. 1 tb Butter or margarine

  4. 1 lg Onion, sliced

  5. 1 cn (14 1/2 oz) stewed tomatoes

  6. 1 c Beef broth

  7. 1 4 oz. jar prepared

  8. Horseradish

  9. 1/2 ts Salt

  10. 3 tb Flour

  11. 1/4 c Cold water

  1. In a heavy 4 quart pot,brown meat in oil and butter.

  2. Add onion; cook until onion is soft.

  3. Add remaining ingredients,except flour and water.

  4. Cover and simmer 2 to 3 hours or until meat is tender, turning meat,occasionally.

  5. Remove meat to a serving platter.

  6. Keep warm.

  7. To make gravy,dissolve flour in water.

  8. Add 2 tbsp.

  9. hot cooking drippings and blend well;add to remaining drippings.

  10. Cook stirring until thickened.

  11. Serve sliced meat with hot gravy.

  12. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
