  2. 2 grouse or partridges (you may substitute 2 rabbits)

  3. 1/2 pound lean ham

  4. 2 medium-sized onions

  5. 1 pound of lean beef

  6. 2 stalks of celery cut into inch-lengths

  9. Pepper and salt to taste

  1. Joint the game neatly. Cut the ham and onions into small pieces and fry all to a light brown.
