  1. VIENNESE BISCUITS

  2. 250g butter

  3. 2 cups flour

  4. 1/4 cup castor sugar

  5. pinch salt

  6. 1/2 tsp vanilla

  7. 125g dark chocolate

  8. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla,

  9. carefully fold in sifted flour and salt. Spoon into a piping bag

  10. fitted with large star tube. Pipe into finger lengths on lightly

  11. greased trays. Bake in mod. hot oven 15-20 mins. Cool on trays.

  12. Leave plain, or dip one end in melted chocolate. Makes about 35.
